About my art
My art is inspired by my reverence for nature and my fascination with myth, symbolism and opulence.
I enjoy elevating the ‘ordinary’ – asking the viewer to look again at the natural world we so often take for granted. My birds and animals are interwoven with symbolism and myth to tell a story of their own.
I hope my art brings you joy, escapism and a little wonder.
About me
I’m a British artist based in Oxford, where I live with my husband and children.
I’ve been drawing and painting from an early age, encouraged by my artist grandmother, who bought me my first paints and taught me how to use them.
I grew up in the UK and Portugal, read Psychology at Durham University, and spent a year in France at the Académie des Beaux Arts in Grasse. I worked in marketing and consulting until a serious illness caused me to re-evaluate my priorities – resulting in me ditching my desk job.
I now work from my garden studio, mostly painting in oils.
